Steps:
- Log in to your router from 192.168.1.1 in your browser
- Go to Advanced Tab
- Select FPTD Setting in the left list
- Tick "Enable FTP Server" and "Enable FTPServer for WAN" and note down the server port no.(this would be required later)
- Click on Submit
- Now open FPTD Account from the left list
- Now put your desired username and password in the text boxes and also mention the right to which the user on the LAN and WAN would access ad click on append
- Now to insert the usb pen drive or hard disk in the usb socket in the modem
- wait for a certain time to let the usb device intitialize itself
- Now open ftp://192.168.1.1:<your port no. from step 4> from any browser>
P.S.: To access data in your android device, just download ES File Explorer and open the network section and select FTP option and fill the required fields. Restart the app and open the location. Voila, you have successfully connected to your pen drive via your wifi modem.
